Get your calander out because from 9am to noon on September 12th is the date and time set for the 1st Annual Scioto Countywide Cleanup. The  Lawrence-Scioto County Solid Waste Management District is seeking volunteers to take part in the massive cleanup. Each volunteer will receive a free T-shirt and the Lawrence-Scioto County SWMD will provide garbage bags, gloves and disposal needed for the event. Recently, Lawrence County hosted a Countywide Cleanup Day with a huge success. They reported 1,005 volunteers that collected 955 bags of trash on 65.7 miles of roadway. So come on out and let us show everyone what community pride is all about!
